Ahhhh yes! spring is in the air! it’s the time for new beginnings and what better way for mother nature to share that with us then with some good old rain.
this is when having a strong “rain collection” comes into play. what’s a part of this rain collection? the essentials of course!
the trench coat
here there are two other options in addition to the traditional trench coat. i recommend going with a brighter, more springy color or at least just not black so you don’t look like a reject from the matrix. trench coats offer a light-weight cover with protection from mother nature. this is an essential piece to both men and women’s wardrobes
the umbrella
typically we see the same types of totes umbrellas being carried about but get jazzy with it! if you’re going to be walking in the rain, you might as well be walking in the rain in style and enjoying the view inside your umbrella since the day is a dreary one. make sure that you don’t get one of the cheap umbrellas! mary poppins didn’t use the bootleg ones to fly away with for a reason!
rain boots/galoshes
i think galoshes are my favorite part of rainy days. there’s nothing like having a cute pair of galoshes to go jumping in the puddles. in fact, on rainy days i intentionally wear skirts with my galoshes because it makes for a cute look.
not so much into having your calves surrounded by rubber? well nike came out with the soakers for people who would rather not go the boot route. i have a pair of them and they keep my feet nice and dry and the ones i have are quite cute!
either way, stay dry and cute during these rainy days while mother earth prepares to give us all new beginnings.
